Alf, Roo, Leah and Irene are stumped when they are greeted by Heather in the foyer. A smiling Heather plays hostess, guiding the guests to the dining room, claiming Marilyn is still getting ready. The group are suspicious over Heather's saccharine demeanour. As Heather hands out champagne for a toast, Marilyn watches the CCTV footage from the security room in terror, bound and gagged. Everyone drinks to Heather's toast.
Leah awakes from a hazy unconsciousness to find Heather zip tying the unconscious guests to their chairs. Groggily, Leah tries to grab a knife from the table, but Heather quickly restrains her. Marilyn watches from the security room, screaming out for help to no avail.
Back in the security room, Heather ungags a horrified Marilyn. A vengeful Heather explains that Marilyn's friends must learn the truth.

Roo, Alf, Irene and Leah finally regain consciousness, distressed to find themselves all bound to their chairs. Realising that Heather spiked their drinks, the group panics. Heather returns to greet the angry group, declaring them her hostages.
Alf's breathing becomes ragged and Roo begs Heather to untie him, as he has a medical condition. Callously, Heather refuses, claiming that their freedom is up to Marilyn, pointing up at the CCTV camera in the corner. The group realise in anguish that Marilyn must be trapped somewhere watching.
Dragged into the dining room, Marilyn is a desperate mess of tears, terrified for Alf's diminishing health. An aggressive Heather orders Marilyn to confess the truth to her friends. Ashamed and despondent, Marilyn sobs that Heather is her daughter. The group looks on in shock.
Meanwhile, Justin decides to put together a video of Lyrik's performance at Tane's lighthouse proposal to Felicity. Theo and Kirby are impressed by the video and how it showcases their new song.
When Theo laments the poor sound quality, Justin suggests the band record some of their music properly. Kirby and Theo brighten at this idea. Building on this, Theo suggests the band make a music video. Justin loves it – this is going to put Lyrik on the map.
Elsewhere, scheming Ziggy and Dean visit the hospital, pretending that they got the date of their appointment wrong. Blaming Ziggy's pregnancy brain, the couple claim they thought the appointment was today, not yesterday.
Taking pity on the young couple, the staff member manages to squeeze them in for an ultrasound. Ziggy and Dean's delight at seeing their baby on the screen comes with a surprise – Ziggy is much further along than they thought. She's 18 weeks pregnant. The couple share an elated smile – they are going to meet the little one sooner than expected.
Since Ziggy is past the 12-week mark, they can spread the good news. Dean starts with Jai, announcing that he's going to be a big brother.
Beaming, Ziggy and Dean announce their bundle of joy to Justin and John. Justin is over the moon for the growing family.
