Felicity and Tane are shocked when a drunk Cash stumbles in through the door. Without an explanation of where he has been, Cash is carried into bed and passes out. The next morning, Cash refuses to answer Felicity's probe about what happened last night. A dismissive Cash claims he just wanted a drink.
Rose is greeted by a beaming Irene and John, who congratulate her on the commendation. But when Irene mentions Cash, Rose's mood noticeably sours. Irene and John look to each other, wondering what's going on between Rose and Cash.
Crossing paths at the beach, Cash and Rose are forced to talk. With both uncomfortable, Cash asks if they can just forget about last night, but Rose wants an explanation. Felicity witnesses their disagreement and presses Rose for answers. Forced to spill the beans, Rose admits that a drunken Cash kissed her.
Confronting Cash about his drunken spiral goes terribly for Felicity, who is forcibly told to back off. Defending Felicity, Tane follows a fuming Cash outside, telling Cash not to push away the people who care. Taking heed of Tane's advice, Cash apologises to Rose for pushing their boundaries. Rose accepts, but when she makes an offer of friendship, Cash is dismissive.
Meanwhile, Kirby and Theo's PR brainstorm is hitting a brick wall. They've never organised marketing before, as Bob used to do all the marketing for Lyrik. A friendly Justin interjects that Theo has marketing experience – he used to have 50,000 followers on his video channel. An impressed Kirby turns to Theo and claims this could be a big deal.
When Remi and Eden don't pick up their phones, Theo and Kirby decide to go ahead and film one of their original songs for the channel together. They perform a beautiful acoustic rendition of the first song they wrote together, with sparks clearly flying.
Before posting the video, Theo questions whether they'll be putting Remi and Eden offside by posting a video of a duet. Kirby assures Theo that Remi and Eden will be stoked that 50,000 people are going to hear their song.
The video goes viral and draws online admirers. A private message from Tully Dixon from Music World Magazine requesting an interview sends Kirby into a fit of glee. They agree to an interview – in an hour's time. Lyrik has hit the ground running.
