Bearing a peace offering of muffins, Marilyn tries to clear the air with Nikau after her outburst at Heather's caravan. Worried for Marilyn's state of mind, Nikau checks in. But Marilyn has an ulterior motive – she wants intel on Heather.

Nikau is sorry to disappoint – he barely knows Heather. A frustrated Marilyn snaps that Nikau shouldn't be sleeping with women he barely knows. Leah and Justin are shocked to witness Marilyn's outburst.

Deciding to sort out Marilyn's issue, John calls a meeting of her nearest and dearest. They all agree something is going on, but nobody knows what. The group decides that Leah would be best positioned to approach Marilyn. However, Leah's attempt at a heart-to-heart ends with Marilyn closing the door in her face.

Leah and Roo decide to force an intervention on Marilyn. This time, Marilyn's not getting away. But the intervention is an abject failure, sending Roo off in a huff, and Marilyn stubbornly tight-lipped.

Meanwhile, Rose's search through the task force file brings a disturbing result: the bikies have ordered a hit on Cash. Xander insists that Rose must tell Cash about the threat to his life, but Rose worries that Cash is already too vulnerable.

An astute Xander puts it to Rose – does Rose want to be responsible for endangering Cash's life again? Heeding this advice, Rose informs Cash about the bikie hit on him. A terse Cash takes this in stoically, thanking Rose and asking her to leave. Rose is surprised at Cash's apathy – does Cash understand what this means?

The next day, Cash shows up at the police station to speak with Rose, wanting to see the task force files on the bikies. Rose begs Cash not to compromise her professionalism – Cash knows Rose can't give him access.

Feeling for a downtrodden Cash, Rose concedes. Gutted, Cash sees that the hit on his life is priced at $10,000 – is that all his life is worth? Cash makes Rose promise not to tell Felicity about the hit. Rose puts pressure on the task force to escalate their bikie surveillance.
