Ziggy and Dean return from their spontaneous surf road trip earlier than expected, as Dean has dad duties with Jai. Back at work, Ziggy struggles to settle back into reality. Justin is bragging about Theo's band success, celebrating the adventure and ambition of youth. Something about this rubs Ziggy the wrong way.
Irritated with Justin's incessant praise of Lyrik, Ziggy snaps. Assuming that Ziggy's road trip caused her bad mood, Justin warns Dean to clear the air. But Dean is insistent that the trip went well.
A wistful Ziggy soon admits that the surf trip reminded her of their dream to travel the coast doing surf comps – but now Dean has Jai and the board shop, and Ziggy has her job at the garage. A reassuring Ziggy accepts that it's not realistic, but Dean senses that Ziggy hasn't let go of her surfing dreams entirely.
