Felicity tells Cash that she wants her half of their inheritance so she can buy into Salt, solving Mac's debt problems. Cash advises Felicity against buying into a debt-saddled business, but Felicity is determined that she and Mac can turn it around together.

Felicity is left reeling when her energised pitch gets a flat rejection from Mackenzie. Cash makes an emotional plea to Mac on Felicity's behalf, explaining that this inheritance is from her deceased father. If Felicity wants to use it, she must really believe in Mackenzie. Cash's kind words put Mackenzie on the back foot.

Cash's intervention gets through to Mackenzie, who changes her mind – she absolutely cannot wait to join forces with Felicity in co-owning Salt. Felicity wraps Mackenzie in an elated hug, who pops a bottle of celebratory champagne. They toast to a new beginning for Salt.

Meanwhile, a flirtatious Tex tells Rose he had fun on their date and perhaps they should do it again. With Cash in earshot, Rose makes a performative point of agreeing to a second date with Tex. But the hostility between Rose and Cash isn't lost on Tex.

On shift, Cash confronts Rose about her request to be rostered on different shifts. Cash is furious, aware of the damning implication on his character in the sergeant's eyes. Getting a grilling from Cash puts Rose's good mood to an end – he's impossible to work with.

Refusing to let Cash ruin her day, Rose invites Tex upstairs to her new apartment for dinner. Pleasantly surprised, Tex accepts. After dinner, Rose and Tex get cosy on the couch. Seizing the moment, Rose suggests Tex stay the night and pulls him into a steamy kiss.

Worried for his sister, Xander confronts Cash about his attitude towards Rose. Cash declares that he wants nothing more than to move on, but it's up to Rose. Returning home, Xander finds Rose moving on faster than expected, as Tex emerges shirtless from her bedroom. When pressed by her brother, Rose announces her new game plan: avoid Cash at all times.

Elsewhere, Tex is impressed and somewhat curious about how Tane came to own the gym. Tex is eager for a gym membership. A sombre Tane explains that his brother and his wife used to own it before his brother passed away.
