Xander puts the pieces together and realises that Rose has feelings for Cash. Realising how complicated this must be for Rose, Xander pulls her into a supportive hug. Rose admits that she has felt this way about Cash since she met him. Xander hints that the feelings could be mutual.
Determined to resolve the issue, Xander calls Cash and invites him for dinner. When Cash arrives, Xander leaves him to speak with an infuriated Rose alone. With Xander's words on her mind, Rose asks why Cash called her last night. Cash counters that they're friends, so he doesn't understand why they can't meet up for a drink.
Picking up on Rose's implication, Cash apologises if he ever gave her the wrong impression. Cash is only interested in being friends with Rose. Rose recoils in embarrassment.
