Home and Away: Theo and Chloe try to play peacemaker

Leah heads over to John's house to talk through her problems with Justin. Justin is still cantankerous and refuses to engage with her. Justin tells John, who's playing devil's advocate, his version of events. Wanting to get him out of his home, John advises him to apologise. However, Justin is stubbornly refusing.

Chloe checks in on Leah and the two make amends. However, Leah's joy is short-lived as John comes out to deliver Justin's message that she needs to apologise to him.

Chloe and Theo also rekindle their relationship. Theo apologises for not telling her what was going on, while Chloe promises not to run off every time they have a setback. Chloe formulates a plan with Theo to get Justin and Leah into the same room. However, things go awry as Justin realises what Theo is up to. He refuses to engage and heads back to John's couch.

Chloe is more successful, and after a heartfelt talk, manages to get Leah to head to John's. Chloe apologises for intruding on their home and causing all these problems. She sets up some ground rules for her coming over to see Theo in the future – she won't stay over more than two times a week and will cook dinner when she does. Once left alone, Justin and Leah calm down.

Later, another issue arises when Chloe calls Theo on being afraid of Tane and Nikau. Like a deer in the headlights, Theo gets roped into a family BBQ where he's the centre of attention.

Meanwhile, Xander is filling in Jasmine about his fight with Dr Bolton. Xander isn't too worried as he's never seen this doctor before and assumes he's probably just filling for someone. Jasmine is left to deliver the news – Logan has left and Bolton is now the head of the ED. With this in mind, Xander attempts to make amends with the new doctor, but is met with obstinance.

Xander just wants to know how the patient from yesterday is, but Bolton dismisses him out of hand – arguing that he's just a paramedic and isn't a doctor. Bolton tells Xander next time he comes up against him, he will lodge a formal complaint. After hearing about it, Jasmine tells Xander not to take up all his time and energy focusing on someone who's not his responsibility. Jasmine suggests he take some time off. Annoyed, Xander says he will calm down at work but he's not taking a break.

Later, Xander learns that the patient he told to get a second opinion had a burst ovarian cyst – she had surgery and is doing well. This news is accompanied by the revelation that this wasn't Dr Bolton's only mistake last night and he has been told not to come back.
