Determined to repair the Parata family rift, Dean tells Chloe how upset Mia was about their no-show for family dinner. Chloe and Nikau fight over who was responsible for communicating with Mia.

Feeling guilty, Chloe promises to go see Mia and clear the air. Nikau pushes Chloe, thinking it will free up some alone time for him and Bella.

Ziggy and Dean force an intervention on Bella. They suggest perhaps it's time for her to establish boundaries with Chloe. Bella hears their advice and kindly suggests that Chloe invest some time in reconnecting with Mia. Chloe seemingly appreciates Bella's care and honesty.

Bella is riding the joy of a successful heartfelt chat with Chloe until Nikau delivers some hard truths. Chloe lied about being in touch with Mia, as Mia hasn't spoken to Chloe for days. It seems that Chloe is just saying things to appease Bella's concerns. Nikau sees through Chloe's act, but Bella is shocked.

Soon afterwards, Bella lays down the law with Chloe, suggesting that it's time she goes home and faces her problems. Chloe accuses Bella of rejecting her in her hour of need, but Bella refuses to back down.

Meanwhile, Justin and Leah keep Dimitri's arrival a secret from Theo, at least until they know more about Dimitri's intentions. Dimitri declares that his intentions are reconciliatory, but his manner indicates otherwise.

To surprise Theo, Leah and Justin bring Dimitri to the garage, but it's not the family reunion they were expecting. Theo is less than enthused about Dimitri's arrival and he appears terrified.

When they are finally alone, Dimitri demands Theo pack his bags and return home. A distressed Theo refuses to go with Dimitri, wanting to stay with Leah and Justin in Summer Bay.

Indignant that Theo would turn his back on his family, Dimitri reveals that Theo's mother has left him. Rather than evoking sympathy, Theo is glad, sending Dimitri into a further rage.

When Leah and Justin arrive home amidst the fight, Dimitri accuses Leah of turning his wife against him. It seems Dimitri's intentions for arriving in Summer Bay were not so honourable after all.

Driving away from Dimitri, Theo stumbles upon Chloe walking alone. He pulls over and offers her a lift. Chloe suggests they get far away from here. Fleeing his own family problems, Theo is happy to oblige.

Elsewhere, Roo checks in with an unmoored Marilyn, who laments the emptiness of her life. Roo suggests Marilyn fill her life with things she loves, but Marilyn seems determined to fill it with work.
