Bella and Nikau return from their great night at the awards ceremony in the city. Both are on a high from Bella's success. Bella shows off her exciting new award and everyone in the Bay is ecstatic for her.
Things are looking up for Bella's future, and just as things couldn't get better, she receives a call from a lady she met at the awards ceremony, who announces that she's a top modelling agent and wants to speak to Nikau immediately.
Nikau can't believe his ears when he's offered work as a model, but he refuses, and Bella can't work out why. After much encouragement, Bella tries to convince Nikau to at least see the agent.

Meanwhile, Ari and Tane start rebuilding their new bike. Mia thanks Ziggy for thinking of this idea, and Ziggy reflects on someone doing the same thing for her once.
Mia receives a call from John for a job interview at the gym and she couldn't be happier. After an anxious moment of not knowing what to wear, Ari calms Mia down and offers words of encouragement. Tane, however, is slightly disappointed to not have received a call about the job but realises the post-it note wasn't the greatest idea.
Ari and Tane discuss Tane's employment situation and Ari devises the plan for Tane to cover his labouring shifts while he's still recovering – it will help both brothers out in the situation and Tane agrees.
Just when Ziggy is enjoying her time with Tane and his family, she gets the call from Dean to come and look after Mac, and her mood is immediately low. Ziggy knows that Mac does not want her there.
Elsewhere, Irene engages in John's help with interviewing prospective candidates as manager of the gym. He's not keen on the idea but helps anyway. Mia arrives at the interview, only to be interrogated by John. Despite John's best effort to derail the interview, Irene is impressed and offers Mia the job.
