Ziggy returns home late at night to find Mackenzie crying at the kitchen table. Mac tries to get away, but Ziggy begs her to open up. Mac tells Ziggy that she feels like she has lost everything including the baby, which is confusing because she didn't want to keep it. Mac admits that she really misses Ari, but she has to get over him and doesn't understand why she's losing it as she usually is in control.
The next morning, Mac decides to return to work, much to Ziggy's worry as she's meant to be resting. While at work, Ari and Mia come through and Ari tries to talk to Mac, who's really struggling both emotionally and physically.
Mac puts on a brave face and leaves Ari, who can't understand why Mac can't even stand being in the same room. Mac is suffering from extreme cramps and collapses downstairs with Tane and Ziggy.

Meanwhile, late at night, Justin is in pain and goes to the kitchen to grab his painkillers. Realising it hasn't been long enough since his last one, he goes to put them back. However, when the pain becomes too much, he reaches for them anyway. The next day, Justin is in bliss and able to function, having had a good night sleep.
Elsewhere, Ryder is spooked when someone starts walking past the cabin windows late at night. When the door handle starts rattling, he wakes up Chloe and freaks out. Nikau and Bella come out of their room and tell him he has drunk too much. They go back into their room and laugh, as it's them that are playing tricks as payback for ruining their getaway.
The next morning, Ryder and Chloe are suspicious when Nikau and Bella make them breakfast. When Bella looks through her camera, she notices someone took photos of them all sleeping the night before. Telling a ghost story, Ryder and Chloe look genuinely freaked out, causing Ryder to run out the room and seemingly hit his head.
Bella and Nikau freak out, thinking they caused Ryder serious harm. However, it turns out Chloe and Ryder knew all along they were being tricked and tricked them back. The four agree to stop playing pranks on each other. Chloe and Ryder head off, but after they do, Nikau looks through their photos and sees a shadowy figure in one of their photos, so they decide to high tail it out of there too.
