Bella is excited when Nikau tells her they're going away for the weekend, just the two of them. After a long drive with an impatient Bella in the passenger seat, Nikau reveals they're staying at an idyllic country cabin. Bella is thrilled, as it's their own perfect little bubble.
Ryder and Chloe are busy brainstorming prank ideas when Chloe finds the note that Nikau left for Ari with the address of the cabin on it. At the cabin, Bella and Nikau are thoroughly enjoying themselves when they're interrupted by a knock at the door. It's Ryder and Chloe, loaded up with party games, food and tequila.
Nikau tells them that they can't stay but Ryder argues that it's too late to drive home. Nikau relents but makes it clear that they have to be out the door at sunrise. Nikau and Bella head to bed, leaving Ryder and Chloe to party on alone – and party they do.

Later, sounds of laughter and drunken board games come from the lounge area as Bella and Nikau lie in bed. Bella shares her concerns that getting their friends to leave in the morning might be easier said than done but Nikau is determined – Ryder and Chloe are gone first thing, he's going to make sure of it.
Meanwhile, at the Surf Club, donations are rolling in. Roo reckons John can breathe easier now that the Surf Club's future seems secure. John is glad, but insists he still has other wrongs to right.
After getting the okay from Marilyn, John tells Leah and Justin about his plan to sell his house and use the money to pay them back what Susie stole. Justin and Leah are adamant that John is not to blame, as he was tricked by Susie the same way they were. They say his offer is generous but not necessary.
Later, John confides in Marilyn that the prospect of selling his house got him thinking that perhaps it's time for a clean slate. There are so many sad memories in that house. John quickly adds that there are some good ones too, thinking of his time with Marilyn and Jett. Marilyn agrees, she remembers those times too. With Marilyn's support, John decides to call a realtor.
Elsewhere, as Justin is in severe pain, Leah takes him to the hospital for scans. After the results come in, he is given stronger pain medication and he thanks Leah for dragging him down to the hospital.
Also today, Dean is at Salt, getting his head straight after Amber's comment about marriage and kids. When Jai and Amber join him for dinner, Amber misinterprets Dean's dismissive behaviour as confirmation he has been avoiding her.
Later, Amber tells Dean that he's off the hook – she doesn't want a ring or a baby, as she's happy with what they have. Dean surprises Amber by asking what happens if he does want those things. Amber explains that she finally feels free again now that Jai is a bit older, so she doesn't want another baby, at least not right now and maybe never.
Dean wants Jai to have what he didn't – a sibling, like what Amber had with her brother. Amber softens, explaining that she won't rule out another kid but she's not ready yet and she's not sure when she will be. Dean clarifies, but it's not a never, right? Amber nods – it's a maybe.
