Tane continues to avoid Mac, but Mac does her best to mend the fractured relationship between them. Her relationship with Ari continues to strengthen, but Ari begins to wonder why his brother is so absent.
Just when Tane feels like he's getting his life on track, an unexpected and unwanted visitor from his past comes to offer another opportunity for Tane to make more money, illegitimately. When the men later cause a nuisance in Salt, Tane asks them to leave but they retaliate with violence.
Meanwhile, Roo is in a fluster over the idea of going on a real date with Owen. At the same time, Owen turns to Ryder for advice about dating his aunt. Ryder comes to terms with his uncle dating his aunt.
