The fun uncle is back and over breakfast on the beach, Tane and Nikau laugh and joke with one another. Gemma lets Ari know Tane is back, which he's not happy about. As Mac walks past the pair, Tane tries the charm on again but Mac shoots him down, much to Nikau's amusement.
Ari finds Tane and Nikau playing pool but Ari's not happy to see him. He's convinced Tane hasn't learned from his previous mistakes and believes he's up to something.
Gemma doesn't want history to repeat itself with their family, but Ari continues to push back on Tane's presence. Just when things stabilise among the Paratas, Tane offers Gemma an opportunity to lay down their roots and stay in the Bay permanently, with a roof over their head.
