Colby and Willow usher a fragile Bella home from hospital. Bella is still struggling to understand why she reacted so violently and self-harmed, which is why she's not pushing back on Colby and Willow taking her to the residency.
Willow and Colby take Bella to a specialised recovery centre, who specialise in equine therapy. She slowly shows signs of improvement.
Meanwhile, shocked to learn that Bella was self-harming, Gemma is worried about how Nikau is coping with the news. He tries to apologise to Bella, but she's still too damaged to communicate with him as she leaves to go to the residency. Nikau turns to Ryder, falling on his own sword, and the pair make a small step toward building their friendship.
Elsewhere, seeing the Parata family at breaking point, John reaches out to Gemma. John and Gemma bond over their shared struggle to support their sons. Gemma is surprised by John's understanding, and they make a small but important truce in their troubled past.
