Bella and Nikau's connection is in full swing and Ryder is picking up on the not-so-subtle flirtations. Bella is giddy with her crush and seizes any opportunity for one-on-one time with Nik.
Ryder worries about how vulnerable Bella is and wants to warn Nik to tread lightly. Roo tells him in no uncertain terms that it would be a bad idea to risk betraying Bella's trust.
Meanwhile, out of concern for her dad, Ziggy decides to suss out how much interest he has in celebrating his birthday. Ben is not particularly engaged in the conversation and so Ziggy is forced to be honest about Maggie's plans for a surprise party.
Ziggy's instincts were right as Ben thinks it's a bit much for him this year. When he witnesses how crestfallen Maggie is, Ben has a change of heart. Maggie and Ziggy are thrilled to be able to celebrate Ben.
