Ian's attempts to convince Robbo to move to the farm are met with frustration and hostility from his son, who points out that he and Jasmine are building their own life in Summer Bay. They're all set up and can stand on their own feet without his parents' support. Ian points out they're sharing a small apartment with Colby and Bella. He recalls how Robbo loved growing up on a farm, so why shouldn't he give Grace the same opportunity? Despite Robbo's stance, Ian and Wendy are determined that this share-house is no place to raise their grandchild.
Later, Jasmine finally gets the truth out of Robbo and is shocked. However, when they think about it some more, they realise Jasmine could get a job in the country and Robbo could sell the gym and maybe Tori would want Grace to have that stability.
The next morning, Robbo can admit that he knows how great the farm would be for Grace, but would never make Jasmine go anywhere she doesn't want to. Jasmine lets him know that if all her moving around through the foster system has taught her anything, it's that home is where you make it, and who you make it with. If Robbo wants to return to the farm, she'll follow.
What to Read Next
Ian's attempts to convince Jasmine to work on Robbo are shut down – she won't influence his decision. Wendy has more success – her plea to her son isn't blackmail, it's her truth – that Grace offers not only a second chance to Robbo, but to her and Ian as grandparents. They long to be able to help him make the best go of it he can, providing a safe, loving home. Finally Robbo accepts – he'll leave the Bay and take his little family with him.
Meanwhile, when Ryder gets to Jade's van to spend the night with her, she's nowhere to be seen – he has been stood up. Roo knows why – she made an approach to introduce herself to Jade but got a very cold, rude shoulder. Roo vents to Irene and Marilyn – she can't believe Ryder would be interested in someone like that and worries he might make some of the same dumb mistakes that she did as a wild teen. This concern gets shut down by Alf, who tells Roo to stop meddling, as the boy is old enough to make his own mistakes.
Ryder is totally in the dark about Roo and Jade's clash. When he finds Jade at Salt, drinking alone, he can't get a handle on her nonchalance. However, when Jade finally spills, Ryder is fuming and heads home to give Roo an earful. Roo is left thrown, insulted and wondering where this new Ryder has come from.
Ryder returns promptly to Jade, and this time there's no hesitation. His certainty grabs her, and they disappear into her van for a hot, fun night, then wake up in the morning to do it all again.
Roo, noting Ryder's empty bed, works herself up worrying that he will make the same mistakes she did. But again, Alf settles her down, assuring her that she'll only push Ryder further away if she pursues this agenda.
