Maggie is excited as Ben re-opens the board shop, although Ben is a little nervous. He tells Maggie he has made an appointment to talk to Alex that afternoon to discuss his medication and Maggie is relieved. When the board shop has no customers, Ben starts to stress. John reassures him that things will pick up, although he's concerned that Ben is letting things get on top of him.
Later, Maggie is at the diner when John calls her. She hurries over to the surf club to find Ben on the verge of a panic attack about the business failing. Maggie tries to reassure him, taking him through relaxation techniques and insisting they see Alex right away.
John is manning the shop when Ben and Maggie return. Ben tells Maggie that seeing Alex was just what he needed and Maggie is relieved that he agreed to go. A customer arrives, and Ben's mood lifts. He tells Maggie that he's feeling on top of things again now, and she leaves him to it, relieved by the small ray of sunshine.
What to Read Next
Meanwhile, Justin is continuing to worry about Tori. Leah suggests they should spend the day with Ava and play soccer and Justin agrees. Later, Leah is watching Ava play with Buddy when Justin tells her there's no change in Tori's condition, and with the family in different states, it's all becoming too much. It could mean Tori has had another bleed on the brain – she's getting more tests that morning.
When they return home, Justin sends Ava out to give Buddy a bone and Leah suggests he should take a trip with Ava and Mason to see Brody and Raffy, suggesting that if the family was all together, Justin wouldn't feel so isolated. Justin agrees, grateful she's proving to be his rock.
Elsewhere, Robbo admits to Marilyn that he's finding child-rearing relentless. When Marilyn says he must be relieved to have Jasmine, Robbo says she's focusing on her career and that Grace is his responsibility. Irene is bemused to hear this.
Later, Irene goes upstairs to find Robbo struggling to soothe a crying Grace. Irene takes her and the crying stops. Irene tells Robbo that babies can sense their parents' stress, and Robbo jokingly tells her she can never leave. He watches Irene feed Grace, finally admitting he's struggling.
Irene tells him that no-one can raise a child all on their own, challenging him to let people help with Grace. But as Robbo prepares to go for a run to clear his head, it's not certain whether he's going to take on her wise advice.
Also today, Maggie drops by to see Marilyn and mentions that Raffy is starting at a new school. Marilyn is thrown to already be so out of the loop with Raffy's progress. Marilyn admits to John that while she's pleased Raffy is moving on with her life, it makes her feel like they're not important to her anymore.
Marilyn says they used to know everything about her life but now she's forgetting to tell them things, which makes her worry Raffy will forget them completely. Marilyn is feeling lost and empty with no idea what her life looks like without Raffy or Jett.
