Colby and Dean plan to visit Karen to ask her about her connection to Ross, Colby’s stepdad. Chelsea is not going and has reservations about Colby taking the lead, but Colby needs to be there for his mate and insists Chelsea has already helped enough by lying to get them into the hospital.
Dean is nervous over his mother’s state. When they arrive, they find a subdued Karen is responding well to treatment and she embraces an emotional Dean in a hug. Karen admits that she needed the help and the drugs mess her around. They are happy to realise she is thriving at the mental health hospital.

Meanwhile, refusing to give in to heartbreak, Willow resolves to stand on her own two feet after breaking up with Justin. However, when she realises she could have injured Maggie during a training session due to her lack of knowledge, she comes clean to Robbo that she’s not a qualified trainer. Robbo is angry, realising he could have been sued and demands Willow leave.
Later, Robbo gives Willow the option to study a certificate 4 in fitness, but Willow can’t afford it and offers to step aside so Robbo can hire someone else. However, Robbo is impressed by her attitude and offers to cover the cost of her training. Willow is ecstatic, her life goals are back on track.
Elsewhere, Brody and Ziggy are reconciled and in a good place, but Brody’s attention is divided by his new mentee Simone. Brody is flattered by Simone’s attention, but Ziggy is weirded out by it, unsure of Simone’s agenda. After a cooking challenge, Simone successfully convinces Brody to give her a one month trial working for him at Salt.
