Hollyoaks star Twinnie-Lee Moore has spoken to Digital Spy about her surprise exit from the soap, revealing that she's keen to concentrate on her passions for music and stage work.
The actress filmed her final scenes as Porsche McQueen last week after only a year playing the feisty character. Fans were shocked in October when we exclusively revealed that she wouldn't be renewing her contract.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the RTS North West Awards on Saturday (November 13), Moore explained: "Originally I was only ever meant to be at Hollyoaks short term. I got offered another contract, but it just felt like the right time to go.
"I'm moving on to pastures new and we'll see what happens next. I do a lot of songwriting and I'm signed by Universal, so that's my first passion, even before doing films and TV.
"I've also done a lot of musical theatre in the past and that's where my heart lies. I miss the theatre and that instant buzz you get when you're on stage."
Discussing her last day at work, she continued: "It was really emotional and very sad. Everyone came down to set for my last scene. I got a big bunch of flowers and a lovely send-off.

"Porsche's exit is definitely emotional. I was hoping she'd get her happy ending, but I'll leave it for the audience to find out what happens. Now it'll just be nice to sit back and see how it all unfolds after she goes. And you never know, Porsche might come back."
In the meantime, viewers can expect plenty more drama on screen for Porsche as the McQueen family's ongoing child abuse storyline comes to a head this week.
The troubled clan are about to be rocked when they find out that Porsche's little sister Cleo has been groomed by evil Pete Buchanan. In true soap style, the secret is exposed on the day of Pete's wedding to wayward Reenie.
Moore added: "It's been an absolute honour to do that story with the child abuse. The big reveal coming up is amazing. When the truth comes out, Porsche feels ultimate guilt at the thought of not being able to protect her sisters.
"Porsche always thought she'd managed to shield them from Pete, so she wonders: 'Why did I not know?' When she finds out, she realises she's got a lot more in common with Reenie than she thinks."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
