An episode airing earlier this week saw Frankie Osborne tell Scott Drinkwell and Ste Hay that she had renamed Esther Bloom's son Stefan.
In a nod to the Australian soap, Scott replied to Frankie's announcement: "Stefan? As in Stefan Dennis? Paul Robinson from Neighbours?"
The reference was well-received by the Neighbours team, with Dennis even recording a video message to thank Hollyoaks for its choice of words.
