Hollyoaks' Felix Westwood actor Richard Blackwood has opened up about his real-life friendship with co-star Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren Fox.
Felix and Warren were rivals in the shows after it was revealed that Warren used to bully Felix during their childhood in care homes. More recently, however, the duo seem to be getting along a little better.
In an interview with the Daily Star, Blackwood talked about his off-screen friendship with Lomas and how much he hates having to say "horrible" dialogue to his friend while shooting more antagonistic scenes.

"It's a weird one because myself and Jamie [Lomas] get along very well so when it's time for us to be rivals, we can play that with the trust of knowing how far we can go and push the line," Blackwood said.
"When we're saying the horrible lines to each other, we actually hate saying the lines because we get along so well."

Blackwood continued: "But that kind of helps with the scene as well because anytime there is a rivalry between us two, we also have to play the truth that they genuinely love each other as brothers so they are always torn between wrong to the other person."

Blackwood said that he feels there is always an "underbelly" that plays out in scenes between him and Lomas. He stated that while he enjoys the on-screen rivalry between the characters, he can't stand saying the nasty things Felix and Warren sometimes say to each other.
