It seems Bob Hope will have a horrendous Christmas on Emmerdale this year, and it's not because he's on Santa's naughty list.
Poor Bob was dumped earlier this month by Laurel Thomas after a rather revealing experience in The Woolpack. He went on to spend the night sleeping in the pub with nowhere else to go.
Later on, Laurel confessed to her father Doug: "He looked so crushed, dad. It's just I honestly don't know what he's going to do. He's got nothing, dad – he's got absolutely nothing."
Furthering these on-screen hints, executive producer Jane Hudson has told Radio Times: "Emmerdale fans will have their spirits raised and their heartstrings pulled, with joy coming in the form of a surprise wedding and sadness from a down-on-his-luck Bob.
"The festive nuptials focus on the loved-up Dingles with a certain someone from the beloved family heading down the aisle. Bob, on the other hand, struggles to find work and his money worries mount. Will he spend Christmas without a roof over his head?"
With Christmas now less than a month away, it looks like we'll soon find out.
