Emmerdale spoilers follow.
In next week's Emmerdale episodes, justice is finally served for Tom when he fails to weasel out of police questioning.
Meanwhile, Ella begins to get suspicious of Liam and Chas, while newly-minted Eric is keeping secrets.

1. Tom tries to get Nicola on side
Tom continues to cause problems between Jimmy and Nicola when his uncle takes his side.
Later, he makes up with girlfriend Amelia by pretending to pray, and manipulates her into helping him get Nicola on side by hinting that he would like them to get engaged one day.

2. Sam gets bad news
When Sam overhears Tom suggesting he and Amelia move away, he is horrified by what he's heard.
He heads to the police station but he's appalled when he learns the investigation into Tom is not progressing. When he tells Belle, she's left reeling.
3. Tom makes Belle paranoid
When Belle heads upstairs to run a bath, she has no idea that Tom has slipped in through the back door and is creeping around the house. He steals one of her tops and gives it to Amelia.
Later, Belle is thrown to see Amelia wearing her top and accuses her of taking it.
4. Tom is arrested
When Amelia questions Tom about Belle's top, he's furious and drags her out of the house, shouting at her in public. But Jimmy and the police are watching.
Tom is taken to the station for questioning, and although he tries to outwit and manipulate them, it's not long before justice is served.
5. Ella plans to leave
Fed up with her awkward living situation, Ella plans to leave the village.
Chas feels awkward when she hears Ella and Manpreet talking about Ella's situation, but Manpreet has a plan to solve Ella's problem.
6. Liam confesses his love
Liam visits Chas upon hearing Ella is leaving the village, and confesses his love to the shocked landlady.
However, Liam's left disappointed when he learns that Ella is sticking around and moving into Dale Head with Manpreet.
7. Ella is suspicious
When Chas and Liam bump into each other at the Woolpack, she asks him to slow down and put the brakes on their relationship a little. But before he gets too disappointed, she reciprocates his love declaration.
However, Ella notices things are heated between them. Will she work out what's going on?
8. Eric is keeping secrets
At Eric and Brenda's engagement party, Rodney is curious about Eric's sudden wealth when he surprises his bride-to-be with a lavish honeymoon cruise. Although Brenda's overjoyed, Eric's shifty when Rodney pries over where he got the money.
When Eric leaves in a hurry, Leyla follows him home and is gobsmacked at his admission…
9. Steph receives bad news
With their relationship at rock bottom, Ruby asks her daughter Steph for another chance.
Meanwhile, Ruby's dad Anthony arrives and delivers the shocking news that he has cancer. Steph pledges her support and hopes it'll bring him and Ruby closer together.
