EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' executive producer Chris Clenshaw has spoken about the possibility of Jack Branning and Chelsea Fox's romantic chemistry being revisited.

Fans have speculated about whether the pair could have a fling in an upcoming storyline.

Viewers may remember that Jack had a brief relationship with Chelsea 12 years ago. These days, it's all change as Jack is happily settled with Chelsea's mum Denise.

Recently, Sam Mitchell stirred up trouble by suggesting to Denise that Jack and Chelsea were getting closer again. After a brief moment of doubt, Denise seemed to dismiss the possibility.

Asked by Inside Soap about whether a Denise-Jack-Chelsea love triangle could develop, Clenshaw replied: "Maybe – there is history between Jack and Chelsea, after all.

"I mean, Jack and Denise are in a very loving marriage, but they're about to go through a really testing time with their children – which could potentially create tension within their relationship.

"Theirs is an exciting family that we're really enjoying creating stories for."

Discussing which characters viewers should be keeping an eye on, Clenshaw added: "You'll want to keep an eye on the Fox-Branning-Truemans.

"I'll also say that next year is a big year for Whitney, and for Zack."

Tension between Jack and Denise appears to be on the way very soon, as next week's spoilers confirm more trouble involving Jack's teenage daughter Amy.
