EastEnders has clarified reports that the cast are returning to work next month to resume filming, insisting that no dates have been set at all.
The BBC One soap shut down production on March 18 in response to the coronavirus pandemic and episodes were cut down from four to two a week so it could stay on the air longer.
In a statement released to Digital Spy, an EastEnders spokeswoman said: "No dates have been set for filming to resume and we will not return until it is safe to do so. We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England."
It was reported by The Sun that the BBC was planning to restart production on the Albert Square series in June.

"They're being incredibly inventive and creative about re-jigging storylines," Lygo said at the ED TV festival.
"Obviously lots of scripts were written for this period of filming, but they're adapting some. I think we've got to accept there'll be more 'two people talking in a room' type stuff. They're looking at ways of shooting where people don't appear to be six feet apart, and so forth.
"We're looking at all that. We're having to investigate testing as an option and how we would do it – on actors and crew."
EastEnders is currently airing on Monday and Tuesday evenings on BBC One.
