Next week's EastEnders episodes… are pretty top secret, to be honest. With the week containing lots of aftermath from the doomed Queen Vic boat party and shock death, we can't share too many details at this stage without giving the game away.

Fortunately, there are still 7 early teasers which offer a sneak peek at what's ahead.

1. Walford families in turmoil

Let's get the vague bits out of the way first. As the Albert Square residents try to come to terms with what happened on the boat, some of the local families are in turmoil – and for some, things will never be the same again.

Even as people try to get back to normal towards the end of the week, one person's lies start to unravel. With doubts about recent events forming in more than one person's mind, someone desperately tries to cover their tracks, knowing that the consequences would be devastating if the truth ever came out.

2. Whitney is in big trouble with the police

The fallout from Leo's death continues and Chantelle is shocked to hear that Whitney has been arrested for her role in his demise.

Tiffany is fearful over Whitney's predicament, so asks Gray to step up and take on her case. Although Gray has some reservations, he ultimately agrees to help.

Defending Whitney over Leo's death certainly isn't the easiest case that Gray has ever taken on. As he struggles with the pressure of the situation, he ends up snapping at his young children, Mia and Mackenzie.

Chantelle is understandably worried about Gray's mood, ever fearful that his dark side could return at any moment.

4. Whitney lies to Gray

During her police interview, Whitney maintains that she acted in self-defence in her scary showdown with Leo. However, Gray is suspicious that Whitney isn't telling the full story.

Once alone, Gray asks Whitney whether she called anyone on the night of Leo's death. She keeps quiet about how she made contact with Mick, so Gray is sure to be curious when he later finds out that she took a taxi to the boat party with Mick and Kush.

5. Jean tries to help Daniel

Terminally-ill Daniel is continuing to grow weaker, but Jean can't help feeling frustrated by how blasé he's behaving over his situation. When the couple learn that Daniel's hospice is closing, Jean is determined that Daniel should stay with her.

Jean comes up with a plan to cheer Daniel up, getting Mo and Kush on board to help too. Daniel is touched when Jean presents her surprise and he promises that he won't die until he knows she'll be okay.

6. Jean heads to the hospital

Later in the week, Jean has her latest oncology appointment scheduled. She's reluctant about leaving Daniel in order to go, but he forces her to.

Jean attends the appointment with Mo and is overwhelmed to hear that her latest MRI scan has come back clear. Once back home, Jean lies to Daniel by telling him that she didn't get the result, but Mo lets slip that she was actually given the all-clear.

Later, Jean and Daniel spend some quality time together in the Square gardens. After returning from getting Daniel a drink, Jean gets a shock.

7. Keegan's plans end in disaster

It's a tough week for Tiffany, with Whitney facing serious allegations. Karen tries to help by giving Keegan an idea of how to cheer Tiffany up.

Sadly for the young couple, Keegan's plans end in disaster. The show isn't revealing exactly why, but EastEnders' picture of an unhappy Keegan wearing just a towel in the middle of the Square probably illustrates the "something's gone wrong here" point pretty well.

EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
