Kimberly Hart-Simpson has high hopes for her character Nicky and Daniel Osbourne in Coronation Street, following their recent introduction on the cobbles.
Daniel (played by Rob Mallard) is attempting to move on from the lingering grief of Sinead Tinker's death, who passed away last autumn, and it's looking like Nicky could be just what the doctor ordered.
They'll spend a night together this week, but could there be more in store for the pair?

Discussing how Nicky (who's actually a sex worker) feels about Daniel, the actress explained: "She thinks he's nice – she doesn't overthink, she approaches people as individuals. He is one of the most approachable guys she's met.
"He's nice, he is warm, he is unassuming," she added, before admitting "it's too early to say" whether or not her feelings go deeper.

"She already knows he is a nice person – she can smell bad ones from a mile off. There's certainly an attraction there."

Kimberly went on to say she'd "love them" to have a long-term future in Weatherfield, and she doesn't believe her recent admission will stop that from happening.
"She's likeable but she's a sex worker, and it's like, so what? She's a nice person," the actress explained. "I don't think Daniel is that hurt.
"The way I see it, he is hurt that he thought someone genuinely liked him and he is embarrassed. He thinks she just wants his money and isn't attracted to him. He gives her money. I don't think it's a direction on her job at all."
She went on: "Daniel deserves a happy ending and to find himself again and have a laugh again. I don't believe he is rushing in too quickly.
"You can't time love – they could be best friends, sort each other out and solidarity."
Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
