Coronation Street fans who have been tuning in over the last couple of years or so will probably know Tristan Gemmill best as the cobbles' (former) resident silver fox Robert Preston.
But now that the character has officially left the ITV soap following those dramatic Christmas Day scenes, the actor has debuted a brand new look.
During an appearance on Lorraine on Monday (March 16), the actor was seen sporting a freshly-dyed hairdo, as opposed to his more recognisable white-grey locks. (That said, he did only stop colouring it in late 2017, with Robert returning from prison with the silver fox look we now know and love.)
Prompted by host Lorraine Kelly, Gemmill admitted that he wanted to try out the darker style for an upcoming adaptation of Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party that he'll be starring in later this year.
"You've gone from being a silver fox back to the dark hair, for a very good reason," the Scottish presenter said.

"Yes, a couple of people have noticed that," Gemmill replied. "I wanted to try something different for the play I wanted to have a particular look. So I've opted for this for the play.
"And who knows if I like it then I might keep it!"

The play is currently still due to open in Cheltenham on April 2, and the 52-year-old also touched on whether coronavirus fears will impact the play's touring schedule.
"It's show business as usual for now," he assured fans. "We're in the middle of rehearsals, we expect there may be disruptions but for now the show will go on."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV, while Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am.
