Coronation Street has revealed that Gemma Winter's pregnancy storyline will begin next week.
Gemma's world will be turned upside-down when she realises that she may be expecting a baby with Chesney Brown – potentially at the worst possible time for their rocky relationship.
Upcoming episodes will see Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) question her future with Chesney as he's growing visibly irritated by her irresponsible behaviour.
Next week, Gemma annoys Chesney (Sam Aston) again by insisting that she's too ill and hungover to attend baby Bertie's christening.
She then tries to make it up to Chesney by cooking a fish pie at home, but suffers another domestic disaster when she falls asleep and leaves it to burn.
Coronation Street's official website has revealed that Gemma later confides in her friend Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) about what's going on.
