Coronation Street's returning character Wayne Hayes could help to solve a second big mystery when he arrives on the cobbles next week.
Wayne is heading back to the Street to uncover the reason for the Underworld roof collapse, but that's not the only riddle he'll be faced with.
Fans may remember Wayne as the boy who was fostered by Roy and Hayley Cropper in 2001. He now works as a health and safety inspector.
Next week's episodes see Wayne catch up with Roy (David Neilson) and hear about his attempts to research the ring he inherited from his late mother Sylvia.
Last month, Roy discovered that the ring had an unexplained inscription - "R.P 01.03.59 Rhea" – which led some fans to speculate that he could have a long-lost sister.
Wayne kindly offers to help with Roy's efforts and quickly proves his worth with an intriguing discovery.
What to Read Next
When Wayne uncovers evidence that the ring originates from Egypt, Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) suggests that it may have been brought back by a serviceman stationed out there.
Wayne's scenes also see him leave several of the local residents nervous as he looks into the Underworld tragedy.
Carla Connor, Robert Preston, Gary Windass, Seb Franklin, Nick Tilsley and Peter Barlow have been named as the six main suspects in the mystery.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 27 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
