The first episode of Kat and Alfie: Redwater doesn't air on BBC One until Thursday (May 18), but Irish viewers have already seen it as RTE One is showing the series on Sundays.
The programme had its Irish premiere last night, making it difficult for BBC One viewers to avoid spoilers as they now face a frustrating four-day wait to watch the same episode.
Writing on Twitter last night, Dominic – who created Redwater – told fans: "Please #KeepTheSecrets Irish viewers! At least until after we air in the UK on Thursday... #Redwater @RTEOne."
Sadly, fans' worst fears have already begun to come true – with the #Redwater hashtag on Twitter naturally jam-packed full of spoilers from the first episode.
Some news sites have also published stories with key plot details, including a major twist intended to shock fans at the end of the first episode.
BBC One bosses haven't yet commented on the decision to delay its own broadcast of Redwater and why UK viewers have to wait so long.
Kat and Alfie: Redwater takes the popular couple into new territory as they turn up in a beautiful Irish harbour village to find Kat's son.
The pair's arrival sends some of the locals into a spin, as they fear Kat and Alfie will dig up secrets that are better left buried.
Kat and Alfie: Redwater kicks off this Thursday (May 18) at 8pm on BBC One.
