Katie Holmes has been caught up in a car accident in New York with her 6-year-old daughter Suri.
The estranged wife of Tom Cruise was picking up the former couple's child from gymnastics class when their chauffeur-driven Mercedes collided with a garbage truck.
The car was dented badly and scratched when the sanitation vehicle apparently backed into it, but nobody was harmed.
Authorities were called to the scene, but Holmes and Suri reportedly left before their arrival.
"It was nothing major other than the fact that it was Katie Holmes," a police source told the New York Post.
The Batman Begins actress reached a divorce settlement with Cruise last week, a mere ten days after announcing the end of their five-year marriage.
