The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar says his upcoming run on a West End stage is a "dream come true".
While he's one of the stars of the most watched US TV sitcom in the world and has no plans to quit the show anytime soon, Nayyar is keen to expand his acting repertoire.
This summer, he treads the boards in London in The Spoils, after a successful off-Broadway run.

"I'm actually really relaxed about it because we did it last summer," he told Digital Spy. "It's a dream come true.
"It's a bucket list thing to be at the West End as a young actor and to be this young and to be able to get up on stage and play opposite Jesse Eisenberg.who is a wonderful actor and a dear friend of mine, is a dream come true."

And in a nod to his Indian origins, the actor said he plans to go back to his roots for a film set in India.
"My goal is that, at least by next summer, I'm going to do a Hindi movie. It's a big goal of mine to do that in India and speak in Hindi," he said. "It's my heritage.
"There's something I'm working on that I can't talk about yet. Something very much along the lines of The Lunchbox."
Best known for his role as the socially awkward Rajesh Koothrappali in The Big Bang Theory, Nayyar says the success of the show is almost surreal.
"You wake up in the morning and you talk to your family and have a coffee and you go to work. It's difficult to explain," he admitted. "I feel like I'm living someone else's life. And when I see those clips of the show, I think 'Wow that's sick!' because for me I just get up and go to work.
"And we work so hard on our show everyday to do the best we can do and that's what we care about most."
Attending The Asian Awards on April 8 in London, Nayyar was presented with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Television by British funnyman Sanjeev Bhaskar.
The Unforgotten star revealed that he and Nayyar instantly bonded over dinner.

"We just met. We started talking and just hit it off," Bhaskar explained. "That's the funny thing about creativity. It's like another language. It's like a vocabulary.
"Other creative people know where you're heading. Of course, the main reason I started talking about this is because he was very complimentary about me."
On the possibility of joining the cast of The Big Bang Theory, he added: "As his uncle? Don't you mean his big brother? Yeah it might be fun to maybe write something new with him.
"I haven't told him that yet. I've only told you. Maybe we can put some pressure on him."
The Spoils will run at Trafalgar Studios from May 27 to August 13.
