It's only been on priority sale since this morning, but Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has already sold more than 175,000 tickets - in just eight hours.
After selling out of the first booking period from June 7 to September 18, 2016, producers extended booking until January 2017 earlier today; but don't panic, because they have promised more tickets will be released when the general sale begins on Friday, October 30.

Before the first batch had even sold out, some ticketbuyers had listed their seats on reselling websites for over £1,000 per ticket.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be a sequel to the original book series. Set 19 years after the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it will focus on Harry's youngest son Albus.
The play in two halves has been billed as the eighth part of the series and is based on a new story by JK Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.

Previews officially begin on June 7 and there will be four special preview performances in late May.
Preview prices are £20, £50, £80 or £100 for a seat for both Part One and Part Two of the play, or £10, £25, £40 or £50 if bought separately.
Prices for performances from August 3 are £30, £70, £100 or £130 for a seat for both Part One and Part Two of the play, and £15, £35, £50 or £65 if bought separately.
There will be a daily ticket lottery available in person at the Palace Theatre Box Office for seats for both parts, with 20 tickets in the stalls at £30 during previews and £40 after the show opens.
