Sunset Boulevard, starring Nicole Scherzinger, is heading to Broadway, it has been announced.
The theatre production, director Jamie Lloyd’s reimagining of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical, has been dazzling audiences in London’s Savoy Theatre since September, with the limited run set to end on Saturday, January 6.
But this latest announcement means the show isn’t over yet, with Scherzinger to reprise the role of Norma Desmond in the US, as the production transfers from the West End to Broadway this year.

Sunset Boulevard has received rave reviews throughout its run and is now heading stateside to capture a whole new audience.
Inspired by the 1950 film of the same name and featuring songs by Lloyd Webber, the production follows fading silent film star Norma, who teams up with screenwriter Joe Gillis to achieve Hollywood fame.

Also making the move to America are fellow cast members Tom Francis as Joe, Grace Hodgett-Young as Betty Schaefer and David Thaxton as Max Von Mayerling.
Hodgett-Young celebrated the news on Instagram with the caption: “So unbelievably excited to finally announce that I will be going to Broadway with the amazing and life-changing show that is @sunsetblvdmusical. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far!! Beyond excited and I cannot wait!!”

Francis also took to Instagram to share the announcement, writing: “Very very excited to finally announce I’m off to Broadway with @sunsetblvdmusical.
"I wanna thank everyone involved in this production… The list is very long! But you all know who you are. Special thanks to @jamielloyd.”
Dates and ticket details for Sunset Boulevard are yet to be announced, and it is not yet known when in 2024 the run will begin, but tickets will be available at Ticketmaster US in due course.
Scherzinger’s West End run meant that she was unable to be a judge on the latest season of The Masked Singer US, with Rita Ora filling in for her – leading to her own absence on The Masked Singer UK last week.
