Collaborating for over 40 years, Wood and Walters had their own comedy sketch show in the early 1980s - and they went on to work together again in Victoria Wood as Seen on TV in 1985, which enjoyed BAFTA success.

The duo starred in TV film Pat and Margaret in 1994, and then reunited again for sitcom Dinnerladies four years later.

Wood passed away at the age of 62 after a short battle with cancer.

Jennifer Saunders, Ricky Gervais and Dawn French have lead tributes to the much-loved comedy icon, and her older brother Chris Foote Ward said his sister's passing "has robbed us of one of the brightest talents of her generation".
