Downtown LA is at a standstill, road blocks are in place and the streets are heaving with hyperventilating teens all prepared to sell their granny for even the tiniest glimpse of their favourite popstar. Yes, my friends, it can only be the annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards!
Undoubtedly the most fun celebrity event of the year, the Kids' Choice Awards is the only one of its kind where the kids call all the shots.
From who wins the coveted 'blimp' awards to who cops a legendary 'sliming', and with past attendees including Johnny Depp, Halle Berry, Justin Bieber and even Michelle Obama, this show really has proved itself to be the hottest ticket in town - and I'm pleased to say this year didn't disappoint.
Celebrating its 27th year, the show is without a doubt the loudest, brightest, craziest event of its kind.
Sitting amongst the thousands of fans packing out the Galen
It's easy to see why it's become a 'must do' for the Hollywood A list fraternity, and with the orange carpet bursting at its seams with celebrities and their offspring, this year's guest list was yet another corker.
Pharrell Williams, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Downey Jr, comedian Chris Rock, Selena Gomez, Adam Sandler, Captain America's Chris Evans and America Ferreira all took a stroll along the famous carpet.

Having arrived a few days ago on the same flight, a surprise appearance from David 'The Hoff' Hasselhoff certainly delighted fans and paparazzi alike. Sporting a SpongeBob Squarepants tie and with his girlfriend by his side, he even photobombed a tongue-tied fan's 'selfie', much to the recipient's delight.
Glee star Lea Michele made the headlines for perhaps the wrong reasons, especially given the target audience, when an untimely gust of wind whipped her peach dress up to nearly expose her pert behind!
And of course, what of the main man himself, Mark Wahlberg? Instantly reawakening my dormant Boogie Nights crush (someone's been working out for the reported $1 million hosting fee!), the actor clearly didn't get the memo from previous years' vibrantly attired hosts, and instead seemed to come dressed as one of the inconspicuous camera crew in regulation 'blacks' - only neon yellow trainers set him apart from the rest of the rabble. Oh dear, Marky Mark.
However, the Ted movie star did a great job steering the manic show, attempting (and of course failing) to avoid a customary sliming.
The real star of the show for me, though, was 'Happy' singer, Pharrell Williams, who helped open the ceremony during a 'wild' themed flash mob medley, which included his huge hit song.
Sporting an on-brand slime green signature hat, Pharrell whooped and cheered his way through the show from his front row seat, clearly enjoying himself. The milk of human kindness seemed to be flowing as easily as the slime river on stage as he got up at one point to retrieve a dropped programme from a gobsmacked fan... aww.
After a quick change backstage, the award winner emerged to guest-present an award wearing a yellow SpongeBob Squarepants onesie (which he totally pulled off) before being doused in a surprise onslaught of green goo.
Other standout moments included David Blaine demonstrating a rather risqué illusion which saw him decapitate himself in a rather gory fashion. The look of horror and unease on the kids' faces in the audience was a picture and a half!
Doing it for the Brits, tennis champ Andy Murray raised a rare smile upon receiving a special 'inspiration' award from UK show hosts Diversity's Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely.
Taking it all in its stride, the Wimbledon legend finally showed us a more fun side lurks as he gallantly and proudly accepted a ton of green slime in the mush for the honour of such a prize.
McFly also lucked in with a nod to their talents as they were given an honorary award as 'Favourite UK Band of the Decade'. Gatecrashing their upcoming McBusted tour rehearsals, the boys were surprised for the honour by their very own superheroes...
You'll have to tune in to Nickelodeon on Sunday, March 30 at 5pm - and all next week - to see the awards and all the juicy tidbits in their full glory, but trust me, as Kids' Choice Awards go, this was up there with the best of them - roll on 2015.
