Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie are among a host of stars who have contributed to a new video pledging to stand up to sexual assault.

The "I will not be silent" campaign by W magazine comes in the wake of the earthquake effect of the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal in Hollywood, which has seen a number of women and men come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct.

In the clip, a large number of famous faces repeat the phrase to camera, including Gal Gadot, Robert Pattinson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mary J. Blige, Jessica Chastain, Daniel Kaluuya, Michelle Williams and Salma Hayek.

The clip ends with Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence together, the former saying "she won't be silent".

Jennifer then adds: "Neither will she".

Weinstein has been accused of sexual harassment by more than 80 women, and is currently being investigated in both the US and the UK. The producer has denied committing any criminal offences.

In the wake of the scandal and the emergence of the #MeToo movement across social media, a group of men and women dubbed the Silence Breakers were named Time magazine's Person of the Year earlier this week. The women featured on the cover included Taylor Swift, Ashley Judd, Isabel Pascual, Adama Iwu and Susan Fowler.

The honour was bestowed for bringing awareness to widespread sexual misconduct in Hollywood, Washington DC and other places.
