Glee's Darren Criss welcomes first baby with wife and shares name

Glee and American Horror Story star Darren Criss has welcomed his first child into the world alongside his wife Mia Swier.

Darren announced the news to his 3.1 million Instagram followers as he took to social media on Thursday (April 14) to share a picture of his newborn.

In the picture, the singer-actor can be seen sitting beside his wife and film producer Mia in the delivery room as the couple cradle their baby daughter.

In his caption, Darren shared the name of his child: "M & D made some sweet music. ⁣Bluesy Belle Criss⁣.⁣ 4/11/22⁣. Out now."

The news was immediately met with well-wishes from fans, friends and co-stars. Former Glee co-star Heather Morris wrote: "Congrats beautiful family," alongside an emoji with love heart eyes.

The carousel post included a short audio clip of the baby's heartbeat, followed by a picture of a sonogram with the words 'Baby Von Criss dropping spring 2022' edited across it.

The final clip saw a video of Darren and Mia looking at the heartbeat audio on a laptop screen, before they both turn to the camera as Mia reveals her baby bump and giggles.

Darren and Mia have been dating for over ten years and got married in February 2019.
