Golden Globe-nominated actress Taylor Schilling has revealed that she's in a relationship with visual artist Emily Ritz.

Known for her role as Litchfield Penitentiary inmate Piper Chapman in Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, Schilling confirmed the happy news on social media over the weekend while re-posting girlfriend Emily's photo.

"I couldn't be more proud to be by your side @taylorschilling. Happy Pride!" read the original message, which captioned a shot of the couple embracing on a misty hillside.

Following the conclusion of OITNB, series creator Jenji Kohan confessed that she considered going down the meta route for Schilling's character.

Apparently, this would've seen Piper pitching to a fictional version of the OITNB boss a TV adaptation of her life in prison.

"I mentioned it to my 13-year-old over dinner, and he's like, 'No you can't end the show like that!'," Kohan told Vanity Fair.

All 7 seasons of Orange Is the New Black are available to stream on Netflix.
