Orange Is the New Black star Laura Prepon has welcomed her second child, who she called a "bundle of love".

The Alex Vause actress, who welcomed her first child Ella with husband Ben Foster in August 2017, announced on social media back in October that she was expecting, and has now used Instagram again to confirm the birth.

Alongside a photo of her kissing her baby's hands, Prepon wrote: "Welcoming home our new bundle of love. Overwhelmed with gratitude."

Following the birth of her first child, Ella, Laura ended up missing a few of the early episodes of OITNB season 6 because the little one was actually born the day the series started production.

"It actually worked out really, really great," she said. "Because of Litchfield exploding, basically, last season, all the girls get sent to Max, and it was left as a cliffhanger as to what was happening with my character.

"I went back to work at six weeks, which is fast. But because of the storyline, it was pretty perfect that you didn't know what was going on with Alex."

Laura isn't the only Orange is the New Black star to welcome a child recently. Back in November of last year, her co-star Danielle Brooks (Taystee) welcomed a baby girl called Freeya Carel Gellin.

A few months after that, she also announced her engagement to her boyfriend Dennis Gellin.

Meanwhie, Amanda Fuller (Badison) announced that she had welcomed her first child in November last year.

Orange Is the New Black is available to watch on Netflix.
