The band took to the main stage with frontman Dan Smith sporting a Jurassic Park T-shirt, and launched into 'Things We Lost In The Fire'.

"Hello Reading Festival, how are you doing? It's nice to see you all, thanks for coming to check us out today, we are called Bastille," Smith told the crowd.
The singer prowled the stage for next track 'Laura Palmer' and thrashed on his personal drum at the front.
"Thank you so much. We've been working away on our second album for a bit and we wanted to play you some new songs - this one's called 'Hanging','' he announced before tearing into the new track, which was well-received by the crowd.
Bastille went on to dip into their mixtape back catalogue, treating the Reading throngs to their mash-up of TLC's 'No Scrubs' and The xx's 'Angels', and apologising to "any TLC fans out there" but cueing a mass singalong.
For fan-favourite 'Flaws', Smith chose to get acquainted with the audience, hopping down from the stage and into the crowd. New tracks 'Blame' and 'Snakes' soon followed, continuing to give fans a taste of the band's new album.
"Thank you so so much. We last played at Reading two years ago in the tent over there and it was one of the funnest gigs we ever played," the frontman declared before entering the last part of the band's set.
'Of The Night' saw Smith proclaim his bad dancing skills, urging the crowd to get down and pogo jump throughout the track, to which they obliged. And for final track 'Pompeii', he announced: "Thank you so much for having us today, we have been Bastille, it was such a pleasure to be here. It's very surreal for us, don't all burn your tents at once."
Mumford & Sons will headline Reading Festival tonight, while The Libertines will close the first night at Leeds.
