Mumford & Sons have been announced as the second headline act for Reading and Leeds Festivals 2015.

The band, who join Metallica as headliners, will be playing the Main Stage.

Bastile, Royal Blood, Deadmau5 and Catfish and the Bottlemen have also been confirmed as performers for this year's festival.

They will be joined by Wolf Alice, Years & Years, Hannah Wants, Jack Garratt, Pretty Vicious and supergroup Rebel Sound feat. Chase & Status, Rage, David Rodigan and Shy FX.

Jamie T, Wilkinson, Pierce the Veil, Run the Jewels, Refused and Manchester Orchestra were previously announced as well.


Festival boss Melvin Benn said: "I'm delighted to have secured Mumford & Sons for Main Stage headliners this summer and can't wait to see them return to the festivals for their first UK performance in over two years.

Reading and Leeds Festivals will take place on August 28-30 during the bank holiday weekend.
