Simon Cowell tweeted his support to One Direction before the show.
During the break, Cowell will be working with Tomlinson on putting together a new girl band.
Yesterday, Horan rubbished reports that Tomlinson and Styles haven't spoken properly or travelled together since they moved out of their shared apartment in 2012.
