Brace yourselves for another week of massive music releases. Kylie has sprinkled her pop dust over Ab Fab's theme tune, a Bob Marley hit has been given a tropical makeover, and The Stone Roses continue their comeback trail. So without further ado, it's time to crank up the volume of the latest and greatest on #NewMusicFriday.
1. KYLIE MINOGUE: 'This Wheel's On Fire'
Oh sweetie, with a big screen adaptation you're going to need a big-name star to cover the official theme. And when it comes to Absolutely Fabulous, who better than Kylie Minogue? The Aussie pop princess has put a suitably campy spin on the Bob Dylan classic, and it's just splendid, darling.
2. BOB MARLEY feat. LVNDSCAPE & BOILER: 'Is This Love'
A tropical house remix is the the pop monster craze that shows no mercy. This week it's a Bob Marley classic that gets reworked into a bubbling dance anthem destined to be blared out across holiday resorts all summer long.
3. NICK JONAS: 'Under You'
What to Read Next
It looks like Nick Jonas has made the correct decision and opted for 'Under You' as the next single from his new album Last Year Was Complicated. Its striding bass line builds into a lofty chorus which essentially hears Nick kicking himself for not sleeping with a girl he fancies. That purity ring is long gone.
4. BROODS: 'Heartlines'
If you think Broods' latest single 'Heartlines' sounds a bit like fellow New Zealander Lorde, well that's because she co-wrote it. So with that in mind, it's obviously a very good song with the kind of airy chorus you can get lost in. It's about time this sibling duo broke through into the mainstream good and proper.
5. USHER: 'Crash'
It's been four years since Usher released his last album Looking 4 Myself, but after a trio of singles didn't impact the way he intended back in 2014, he's rebooted his sound for upcoming collection Flawed. Instead of opting for a balls-out banger, Usher's impressive falsetto is packed full of emotion over a chilled R&B production of muffled beats and melancholic synths.
6. THE STONE ROSES: 'Beautiful Thing'
'All For One' wasn't quite The Stone Roses' comeback single everyone had been waiting for. By the grace of Ian Brown the Madchester band have redeemed themselves with new track 'Beautiful Thing'. With references ranging from John Lennon to crucifixion The Stone Roses have sprawled out their beloved tropes into 7 minutes of psychedelic glory.
7. CHVRCHES ft. HAYLEY WILLIAMS: 'Bury It'
Last year Hayley Williams walked out on stage with Chvrches to perform their Every Open Eye track 'Bury It'. Eight months later they've got together to record a studio version of the collaboration, with Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry and Williams's vocals dissolving into one to reach new heights. Which reminds us, how's that new Paramore album coming along?
8. METRONOMY: 'Back Together'
Forget their 2011 Mercury Prize nomination, Metronomy's 2008 album Night Out was full of wall-to-wall bangers. Eight years later the group are returning to that sound, and they've pimped it out even more with beats drawing from David Bowie and OutKast. Their new track 'Back Together' fuses Joe Mount's characteristically naive lyrics with more fantastically weird funk.
9. GNASH: 'I Hate U, I Love U'
Gnash is one of those singer-songwriters that also happens to be a DJ...and a producer. The 22-year-old has been flirting with the top 10 with his track 'I Hate U, I Love U', which sees him swapping verses with 16-year-old singer Olivia O'Brien as they concoct their own conflicted love story.
10. ADY SULEIMAN: 'Running Away'
In 2013 Ady Suleiman sent some of his track in to BBC Introducing. They were so impressed that they invited him to play on their Introducing stage at Glastonbury. Three years on and the singer's about to drop his debut album, leading the way with the cool soul of first single 'Running Away'. Suleiman will do the rounds at this summer's festival, including a return to Glastonbury later this month.
