Shayne Ward has premiered the music video for his new single 'The Way You Were'.
The track is the second release from his fourth album Closer, which debuted at number 17 in the UK album chart in April.
Directed by Ian Coulson, the video sees Ward explore the trappings of fame as he tries to find love, with his attempts to catch his female co-star constantly interrupted.
'The Way You Were' will be available in two different download bundles. One will include remixes by 7th Heaven, with the other containing a remix by Love to Infinity and Ward's re-recording of his debut single 'That's My Goal'.
The mid-tempo track is written by Ward and Mike Stock of '80s pop production team Stock Aitken Waterman.
Ward is currently preparing to begin filming on Coronation Street, after he was cast as new regular character Aidan Connor, who is a distant cousin of established character Michelle (Kym Marsh).
