Ed Sheeran debuts new single 'Sing' - listen

The track will be the first cut lifted from the singer's upcoming second album.

Ed Sheeran has debuted his new single 'Sing'.

The song - produced by Pharrell Williams - will be the first single lifted from his upcoming second album x.

'Sing' had its world exclusive premiere on BBC Radio 1 this evening (April 7) and has since been uploaded to the Sheeran's official YouTube channel.

The 23-year-old has thanked fans for their positive response to the track on his Twitter page.

'Sing' is now on sale in all countries bar the UK, Ireland, Germany and Australia - where the track will be released as part of an EP in a month.

Sheeran uploaded a teaser video to accompany the single over the weekend.


The singer has confirmed that x - which serves as a follow-up to his 2011 debut album + - will be released worldwide on June 23.

Sheeran debuted songs that are rumoured to feature on x at the Teenage Cancer Trust show last month.

He is also expected to play tracks from the new LP when he performs at Glastonbury Festival 2014.
