We have kind of lost track of all the Disney remakes that are happening at the moment, with Aladdin, The Lion King and Mulan coming to name just a few.
What to Read Next
Well, on top of that there may be three more classics getting the remake treatment – however, we must caveat that this is very much in the 'potential' category.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 1998's The Parent Trap, 1991's Father of the Bride and 1989's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids may all be given the reboot treatment as part of Disney's new online streaming platform.
Basically, the House of Mouse are tugging at our need for childhood nostalgia, and we are so going to give in and make them even richer.
The trio of movies are childhood classics, though the Lindsay Lohan version of The Parent Trap was already a remake of the 1961 movie of the same name – so it would be a re-reboot, if you will.
Father of the Bride is also a remake of a 1950 movie and produced a sequel, while Honey, I Shrunk the Kids produced two sequels.
It is also being reported that Disney are planning to reboot The Muppets once again for their online streaming platform.
That's on top of a planned set of new Star Wars live-action series, which will apparently be made by "significant" talent.
Damn it Disney, why do you have to do this to us?
