This year's contenders for the BAFTA Rising Star award have been revealed.

Shailene Woodley, Jack O'Connell, Miles Teller, Margot Robbie and Gugu Mbatha-Raw are in the running for the 2015 accolade.

Former Skins star O'Connell won critical acclaim last year for his lead roles in Starred Up, '71 and Angelina Jolie's Unbroken.

Meanwhile, Woodley starred in The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent, the latter of which featured fellow nominee Teller, who also notably starred in Whiplash.

Mbatha-Raw was seen in Belle and Beyond the Lights, while Robbie featured in one of last season's big awards contenders The Wolf of Wall Street.

Previous winners of the award include James McAvoy, Noel Clarke, Juno Temple and last year's winner Will Poulter.
