Locke & Key is being planned for a movie trilogy.
Joe Hill - the co-creator of the IDW Publishing comic - revealed that Universal Pictures is developing the adaptation as a trilogy during the Horns panel at San Diego's Comic-Con International, reports Dread Central.
Henry Poole is Here, Akira remake and Ben 10 screenwriter Albert Torres was recently announced to be working on a script for the project.
Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's award-winning series follows the adventures of three kids who move across the country with their mother following their father's murder.
They move into the old family home Keyhouse, a place that conceals various magical keys as well as a terrible evil.
A television pilot based on the series was filmed in 2011 but was not picked up by Fox.
